I'm a PhD candidate in Computer Science and Engineering at Santa Clara University, advised by Professor Yi Fang. My research focuses on machine learning and scalable systems. With a strong foundation in software engineering and data science, I have contributed to projects involving misinformation detection, DEI audit tools, and AI-driven recommender systems. My work has been published in top conferences such as SIGIR. I'm passionate about ethical AI, interdisciplinary collaboration, and building intelligent systems that make a positive social impact.

Built a multilingual misinformation detection tool tailored for diaspora communities. Applied transformer-based models to social media data, with explainable outputs to support community decision-making. Published at SIGIR 2023.
Explored and evaluated various secure computation methods, including homomorphic encryption (HE), for applying deep learning on sensitive data. Collaborated with industry to benchmark performance and assess practical feasibility of HE-based inference.
